    Throughout my 24 years in the USAF, I had the pleasure of providing mathematical tutoring services to fellow servicemembers and their children. I've learned math can be intimidating, especially if the problem solving method(s) covered in-class don't ''click'' with the student. This is where I'm able to assist students in understanding the concepts in a way that works best for the specific student.

    I approach math courses a little differently - ''math'' is ''done'' after learning addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Everything after that is simply an exercise in logic, applying those mathematical concepts in solving various problems, whether that be Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc.

    Since retiring from the USAF in 2023, I've had the privilege of assisting a wide variety of students in South Baldwin - from assisting them in learning to add and subtract to AP Calculus or AP Statistics.
