SAFE HARBOR SPORTSMAN RISES FROM HURRICANE SALLY

(ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA) – Facing in-water headwinds from Hurricane Sally in September 2020, management of Safe Harbor Sportsman and local partners endeavored to develop an improved, world-class marina facility.

“Nearly every part of Sportsman Marina was impacted by Hurricane Sally. Our docks were destroyed, the famous Tiki Bar was severely impacted, and our operational capacity was drastically limited. But Safe Harbor faces challenges with persistence and innovation. This spirit has resulted in a brand-new Gulf Coast marina destination that will exceed anything that has ever existed here,” said Jane Kirkman, Regional Vice President, Safe Harbor Marinas.

The Tiki at Safe Harbor Sportsman has undergone a significant facelift and re-opened in April 2021 with new leadership and a refined food and drink menu.

Known for top-notch customer service, Safe Harbor Sportsman will be installing state-of-the-art floating concrete and timber docks that will accommodate vessels of more than 100 feet in LOA. These docks complement a full-service dry-stack operation.
