NEW BOUTIQUE MAKING WAVES IN ORANGE BEACH

Orange Beach, Ala., August 11, 2021 – Locals Kelly and Clayton Blackwell have opened a new retail store in Orange Beach. The Salty Palm is a Gulf Coast-themed boutique with women’s, men’s and kids’ apparel, unique gifts, décor and local art. Their store is located in the Shoppes at Palm Pointe by Publix and offers a variety of items tailored to life on the Gulf Coast. It’s a much-needed breath of fresh air for the local retail industry and a soon-to-be favorite for locals and tourists alike – and here’s why...

With nearly identical souvenir shops peppered up and down the beach road, it’s clear the community could use more variety when it comes to retail. The wife-and-husband team from Gulf Shores used their extensive retail and marketing backgrounds to develop a store concept that combines life and lore on the Alabama Gulf Coast with high quality goods and trendy apparel. The store’s boho chic interior is bright, welcoming, comfortable and easy to shop, and the available artwork and items created by talented local artisans set The Salty Palm apart from anything else in the area.

“I love to shop, but I always wished we had more retail options in our fast-growing area,” Kelly says. “When Clayton and I were talking about what kind of store we’d love to see here, we realized we have an amazing opportunity to create that store ourselves and do locally inspired gifts and apparel our own way. At that moment, The Salty Palm was born.”

Clayton adds, “It’s important to us to bring something positive and unique to the area. We want to be a place our locals really love and we want them to look forward to what they’ll find in our store throughout the year.”
