Meet the 2019 Annual National Shrimp Festival Committee

Gulf Shores, Ala. - While the Annual National Shrimp Festival lasts only four days, it requires year-round effort by a full team to make sure the operation runs smoothly before, during, and after. Since 1971 the festival has prided itself on being completely volunteer-driven, with a variety of community members all pitching in to help.

"It can be tough work but in the end it's so rewarding," said festival chairman Spencer Cade. "I thank my team for taking time out of their schedules year-round to ensure that our event is a success."

This year’s 48th Annual National Shrimp Festival will take place in Gulf Shores Oct. 10-13. More information on the festival can be found by visiting myshrimpfest.com.
