Baldwin County, Alabama - The Baldwin County Building Inspection Department and Planning and Zoning departments are serving the public in new ways in order to protect employees and visitors. These offices are closed to the public due to the recently declared state of emergency however the departments are still working utilizing some newly developed methods other than face-to-face communication.
Building applications are being accepted via email, dropbox and online. This newly developed platform for applications can be found on our website here: https://baldwincountyal.gov/departments/building-inspection/online-permitting
Inspections can be requested by phone or email. Inspectors will be practicing social distancing at construction sites, and all communication with contractors will take place via phone or email. Zoning, subdivision applications and materials may be mailed or delivered to dropboxes at the locations listed below or emailed to the corresponding email address listed below. If utilization of the dropboxes is desired, please contact the Planning and Subdivision staff ahead of time in order to ensure the application is complete.
