Eco Clean Marine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping waterways clean and raising awareness about trash pollution, is pleased to announce that they have successfully raised funds to purchase new gloves, grabbers, and safety vests for their volunteers. This achievement was made possible through generous donations from businesses in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Pensacola, Destin, and Panama City.
Eco Clean Marine, founded less than two years ago, conducts monthly trash pickup events in a continuous effort to maintain the pristine environment of the paradise they call home. Volunteers can collect about 35 to 40 5-gallon buckets of trash in just one hour, highlighting the urgent need for awareness and action.
The organization has primarily been funded by its partner business, Feed the Fish, but this year aimed to provide their dedicated volunteers with the essential tools needed for safe and successful trash pickup events. The response from the local businesses was overwhelming.
A special thanks goes to the donating businesses:
- Gulf Shores and Orange Beach: Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard, Live Bait, Happy Harbor, Bear Point.
- Pensacola: Shaggys, Flounders, Paradise Pub, Bar and Grill, Oyster Bar, RedFish BlueFish.
- Destin: East Pass Marina.
- Panama City: Uncle Ernie’s, Boondocks, Los Antojitos.
These businesses played a crucial role in helping Eco Clean Marine reach their goal and equip their volunteers with the necessary supplies. Their support not only contributes to cleaner waterways but also helps raise awareness about the significant amount of trash pollution.
Eco Clean Marine is grateful for the continuous support from the community and local businesses and is excited to continue their mission with newly equipped volunteers.

About Eco Clean Marine
Eco Clean Marine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to keeping the waterways clean locally. They are also extremely passionate about educating and inspiring communities along with building the ecosystem. They build the ecosystem with Fish Feeding machines placed on the water's edge around town and have designed a virtual e-book for kids to learn about the local marine life they'll see while feeding the fish. At Eco Clean Marine, we believe in giving people the chance to have a one-on-one or close experience with nature. We have the opportunity to let them fall in love with our environment, which is a step in the right direction. If we can change people's hearts, we can change the future.
