Gulf Shores, AL – This past weekend, Eco Clean Marine took its mission of saving marine life to new heights during a trash pick-up event at the Hangout Parking Lot in Gulf Shores. With nine dedicated volunteers and a shared passion for preserving the environment, we tackled litter for an hour and a half, collecting six 5-gallon buckets of trash. But the story doesn’t end there!
As we were celebrating our small but mighty clean-up victory, the Kiwanis Club stepped in with a generous $1,500 donation to further support our mission. Their contribution will go directly towards purchasing specialized trash-collection buckets—an essential tool in our battle against marine pollution. These buckets don’t just hold trash; they symbolize the community’s commitment to keeping our beaches clean and marine life thriving.
“It’s incredible to see how much we can achieve when passionate individuals and organizations come together for a common cause,” said Courtney Dombroski, founder and CEO of Eco Clean Marine. “From the enthusiastic volunteers to the incredible generosity of the Kiwanis Club, this event truly showed the power of teamwork.”
The Hangout Parking Lot, a hotspot for locals and visitors alike, was transformed from a littered space to a cleaner, more inviting area—all thanks to our incredible volunteers. While some may see six buckets of trash as a drop in the ocean, we see it as another step forward in our journey to cleaner waters and safer habitats for marine life.
Eco Clean Marine is grateful for the unwavering support from the community and organizations like Kiwanis, whose donations help sustain our ongoing efforts. Whether it’s through picking up trash, feeding fish, or raising awareness, every action counts in our mission to protect the environment.
