Destin, FL | May 17, 2025 — Who says you can’t make a big impact in just one hour? On Saturday, May 17, Eco Clean Marine gathered at the east side of the Destin Walmart with a mission: clean up the area and leave it better than we found it. Mission accomplished!
In just one hour, a hardworking crew of 17 volunteers rolled up their sleeves and collected 31 five-gallon buckets of trash. From wrappers to bottles and everything in between, this team wasted no time making a difference.
“This was one of those events that really shows what a small, determined group can do,” said Courtney Dombroski, Founder and CEO of Eco Clean Marine. “We didn’t need a crowd, we just needed people who care.”
Despite the short time frame, the group’s energy was high and their impact undeniable. The east side of the Walmart parking area is now noticeably cleaner thanks to these volunteers’ efforts.
Eco Clean Marine sends a huge thank you to everyone who came out. Whether it is a beach, a boardwalk, or a parking lot, every space deserves to be trash free.
