  • Share:
Name: Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Date: September 26, 2025
Time: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM CDT
Event Description:

1 in 5 youth, ages 13-18, lives with a mental health condition. This means that if a class has 25 students, 5 of them are impacted.

That is why it is so important for all adults who work with youth to take Youth Mental Health First Aid, an 8-hour course that teaches participants how to recognize and support adolescents experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

Having a more informed staff can dramatically help early intervention efforts, and get youth the help they need, when they need it.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

This course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Topics covered include:
- Anxiety & Depression
- Substance use
- Disorders in which psychosis may occur
- Disruptive behavioral disorders (including AD/HD)
- Eating disorders

If you can't make our upcoming training date(s), or you would like us to host a private training for 20 or more people, contact us directly by phone or email.
