Tuki the Toucan's Birthday Celebration is a vibrant and joyful event that brings together families and guests of all ages to honor the beloved bird, Tuki the Toucan. Guests are invited to indulge in Sherbet Floats outside Native Treasures in Downtown from 12-2pm, where they can enjoy cool and colorful treats on the house (while supplies last). Throughout the day, Tuki the Toucan will make appearances, roaming around Downtown and Tropic Falls, creating memorable photo opportunities for guests.
Adding to the festive atmosphere at 2pm, the Glitter Tattoo station at the Downtown OWA Splashpad offers free temporary glitter tattoos, allowing guests to add sparkle to their bodies with tropical-inspired designs. Animal enthusiasts will have the opportunity to engage with the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, where they can interact with fascinating creatures inside The Bohemian in Downtown OWA.
A highlight of the event is the Tropical Games, taking place beginning at 3pm at the Splashpad, outside Cinnabon, and Sweet Tooth. Participants can test their skills in various tropical-themed games, including Limbo, Tiki can bean bag toss, and Tiki banner toss.
Children can unleash their creativity at the Birthday Hat Craft station located at the Spice & Tea fountain. They can design and create their own unique birthday hats, adding a personalized touch to celebrate Tuki's special day.
The Gulf Shores Bubble Truck will add an extra element of fun as it sets up at the outside Native Treasures beginning at 4pm, filling the air with enchanting bubbles that guests can play and interact with.
As the evening approaches, attendees can gather at Big Water Bay for *Dive In Movie Night. The featured film is Rio (2011), a family-friendly movie with a PG rating, ensuring an entertaining experience for all. *Tropic Falls General Admission required.
To further captivate the audience, Luau Dancers from Ancient Bones Dance Theater will showcase an interactive luau dance featuring LED Dancers inside Tropic Falls, adding a touch of exotic charm to the celebration.
