On September 19, Jimmy Lumpkin take the stage at Gulf Place Town Green and Public Beach in Gulf Shores, beginning at 6 p.m. Lumpkin will belt out sublime sounds that are altogether his own. Straight out of a log cabin in South Alabama, Lumpkin is a singer/songwriter and guitarist with an intoxicating voice and a stirring union of Rock & Soul, Folk-Blues and the flare of a long-remembered era of old Country music. With the voice of a 100-year-old angel from the delta, the soul found in Lumpkin’s music is like no other. Music from a point of view you have never heard before. In the likes of Bob Dylan, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, The Black Keys, and Otis Redding, the Jimmy Lumpkin Band plays an eclectic blend of soulful roots rock and Americana.
