Event Description:
Learn how to write poetry in a welcoming environment. No previous experience required. Instructor Jessica Jones will share information on writing exercises, literary devices, free verse and form, rhyming and more. Jones earned her Master's of Arts in English with a Creative Writing specialization from the University of South Alabama. I Am By Nature a Conflagration, her book of poetry and photography, was published in 2009. Recent awards include the spring 2015 Alabama State Poetry Society's Collaboration of the Arts award for "Her Name Goes Here."
