Event Description:

New Business Program for Entrepreneurs

The U.S. Department of Labor and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) are working together to fund a new program for the State of Alabama.  The new program, LEARN (Launching Entrepreneurs Across Rural Networks), provides business start-up training and counseling for dislocated workers and veterans.  LEARN resources are used to reinforce the existing service provider network.  The result is to help LEARN participants understand business practices through training courses and provide mentoring through their business’s early growth period.

There will be an Open House event in our area on Wednesday, August 4.  The event will be held at the Foley Career Center, 200 West Michigan Ave., Foley, from 9am – 11 am and 1pm – 3pm.  This is a come-and-go event, and the presentation typically lasts about 30 minutes.

Please take a moment to look at this web site
