Event Description:
The Gulf Shores Police Department would like to invite you to participate in the 2013 National Night Out on Tuesday, October 1st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and encourage participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.
Free festivities include a cookout sponsored by Target and Publix and displays by the Gulf Shores Police Department, Gulf Shores Fire/Rescue, and Alabama State Trooper Aviation Unit.
Join us to meet your Police Officers and have your children fingerprinted as a part of a family safety plan. The GSPD Mobile Command Post and new Police Tahoe’s will be on display. The South Baldwin Special Response Team and GSPD K-9 Unit will each be providing a demonstration. There will also be a classic car & bike show and numerous displays by area businesses.
