Town Hall Meeting - Claims Update & Coastal Recovery Commission of AL
A public meeting to update area residents and to hear public comments will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8 at the Orange Beach Community Center.
The agenda includes an update on the Feinberg Claims Process and information about progress being made by the Coastal Recovery Commission of Alabama, formed by Gov. Bob Riley’s executive order in September. The Commission’s mission is to shape a “roadmap to resilience” for South Alabama, and its final report is due Dec. 15.
Participants at Monday’s meeting include Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft, Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon, Foley Mayor John Koniar, Vice President Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance Bob Higgins, Meyer Real Estate Board Chairwoman Sheila Hodges, Press-Register President Ricky Mathews, and Alabama Sen. Trip Pittman. Area citizens are encouraged to attend.
