Let's get ready to THUNDERRRRRRRRRRRRRR! August 21- ORANGE BEACH, AL ~ The Gulf Coast Powerboat Association (GCPA) is proud to announce that classic Southern Rockers, The Marshall Tucker Band, will be in concert on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be held at the Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf. Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $45 for Premier Seating. Platinum VIP Ticket Holders will get in FREE! All tickets are available at www.thunderonthegulf.com . Opening Act - Whyte Caps. Doors open at 6:30 pm. August 22 - The 11th Annual Thunder on the Gulf races will be held on Friday, in beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama. We have a full Race Week starting on August 15-24, 2014. Check out our website for more information at www.thunderonthegulf.com. Platinum VIP's will view the races from the luxurious Penthouse at Turquoise Place, 29 stories above the racecourse. The VIP tent will be set-up on the beach at the Island House Hotel, the Official Host Hotel of Thunder on the Gulf. Race Fans will experience the exhilaration up-close and personal. Bring the family for an exciting, memorable day at the beach. Viewing the races beachfront is free to the public. Races begin at 1pm and 3pm. August 23-24 PENSACOLA ~ That's right, two races one weekend!!! You will not want to miss the INAUGURAL ThunderRun Super Boat Grand Prix Championship, a family-friendly event that can be viewed from the shores of Pensacola Bay at Maritime Park. The public is also welcome to view the races from their favorite restaurant/bar, Nick's Boat House. At our exciting VIP Tent located at Plaza de Luna, there will be a catered buffet lunch. Feel like a VIP's and view the races from Jaco's Bar and Grill, which is also located at Plaza de Luna. VIP passes can be purchased on our website www.thunderonthegulf.com. Race Village opens from 10am-5pm on August 23-24 from 10am-5pm. VIP Areas are open at 11:00 am. Races begin at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. There will be a Boat Parade, Street Party, Vendors, Live Entertainment, and much more during this 2-day event. There is a one-time $5.00 entry fee for Race Village for adults and children over 15.
