This is the "Funnest" fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast. The Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo is the "Every Mans" fishing rodeo!!!!! Just like the Lounge you don't have to be a VIP to fish with us. Tickets will cost $35.00 per angler and categories will ranging from everything from Blue Crab to Blue Marlin and everything between. Heck we'll probably see who can catch the biggest mullet before its all said and done. With that said we will be giving away top of the line prizes I can promise you that!!!!! So save the date June 13th, 14th and 15th and Do It With Us On The Line!!!!!
The Flora-Bama is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2014 and to commemorate 50 years on the Gulf Coast we are throwing a party. The Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo is set to be the “Funnest” fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast. The inaugural tournament will be held June 13 – 15, 2014 at the Flora-Bama Yacht Club across the street from The world famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Package Store. The FBFR is a 3-day Captains Choice tournament with anglers competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in 37 categories including red snapper. At the conclusion of the tournament the FBFR will present top junior angler, top female angler and Master Angler awards along with cash prizes in Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Speckle Trout and Big Game jack pots. Big Game jack pots will include Tuna, Wahoo, Dauphin, Swordfish and Tag and Release Billfish. Accompanying the tournament will be a three day Beach Party and Awards ceremony that will include daily weigh-ins with fish viewing area, live music, great food and hospitality done in true Flora-Bama fashion! Not only will the FBFR be one of the premier events on the Gulf Coast, a portion of the proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
