Event Description:
Elvis Presley Tribute Artist, Shane Tucker and the Promised Land Band will perform an “Elvis Remembered” concert at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 8th at 7 pm. The doors will open at 6:30 pm in the Building B – Auditorium located at 1720 Gulf Shores Parkway (Winn Dixie Shopping Center). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the church office in Building A located at 1900 Gulf Shores Parkway. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the GSUMC Music Ministry.
Shane Tucker began singing in church as a part of children and youth choirs, eventually singing solos. The experience helped him develop a love of music that includes a variety of genres. While country and southern rock are his favored secular music choices, Elvis Presley is his all-time favorite because of Elvis’ captivating style as well as his powerful and unmatched vocal talent. Shane is dedicated to keeping Elvis’ music and memory alive for those who remember him and to creating new Elvis fans of those who discovered him after his untimely death.
Along with his Elvis Remembered concerts, Shane also performs for both private and corporate events as well as the occasional Elvis Tribute Artist competition. While most of Shane's performances are with backing tracks, he has performed live with Brandon Bennett’s band- the Heartbreak Orchestra, the EAS Band, the Foley High School Symphonic Band, and his own bands- the L.A Fever Band, and the Promised Land Band. To learn more about Shane, visit his website www.elvisatthegulf.com.
