Most communities and businesses think they can survive a disaster or crisis, until one occurs. Past responses to disasters have pointed out that American communities and businesses are simply unprepared to respond effectively to disaster or crisis. The actions they are able to take in many cases are actually counter-productive and can hinder recovery. These failures point out that while many businesses are not prepared to respond to disasters, even fewer have formulated plans for recovery.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a 2 ½ hour interactive workshop to provide information, actionable insights, and advice. The $2500 workshop, conducted by Firestorm, is provided at no cost. The workshop will feature lessons learned predicated on decades of experience with natural disaster response, crisis management, and recovery in the US and be organized to follow the Firestorm Predict.Plan.Perform.® process.
