Community Meeting about Amendment 2 to Protect State Parks Funding

The Alabama Parks Partners Coalition are hosting community meetings to educate the public about Amendment 2, the constitutional amendment to permanently protect Alabama?s State Parks funding. The third of this series of meetings will be held at the at Gulf State Park on August 23 at 6:00 PM. During the meeting, park supporters will discuss the history of the millions of dollars of park funds which were transferred to the State General Fund. These funding transfers crippled the parks system financially and forced five parks to close and many others to cut hours and services.
