Name: City of Orange Beach Town Hall Meeting
Date: October 1, 2019
Time: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon and the City Council invite the public to a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, October 1st at the Orange Beach Event Center. The Town Hall will begin after the 5 p.m. City Council meeting and work session, which will also be at the Event Center.

Those attending the Town Hall should arrive between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

“Transportation, frustrations and golf carts, that’s what the Town Hall will be about,” Mayor Kennon said. “I’ll give a short presentation updating everyone on projects in the city including transportation, recreation and schools. Then the floor will be open for anyone to ask questions. We’ll go as long as we need to.”

Baldwin County Public Schools Superintendent Eddie Tyler and Orange Beach school principals will be in attendance. Unfortunately Alabama Department of Transportation Director John Cooper will be in Montgomery for a meeting with Gov. Kay Ivey, but an ALDOT representative will be present to answer questions.

Mayor Kennon said he would like to see 1,500 people pack the Event Center. Having more citizens in attendance makes it easier to disseminate the facts and facilitates a more thorough discussion. The floor will be open for any and all questions or comments.
