BALLYHOO

Do you Ballyhoo? Ballyhoo is a celebration of art and culture, presented by the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance in partnership with the City of Gulf Shores.  This fine arts festival will feature juried artists displaying two and three dimensional art.  Ballyhoo will celebrate the Creek culture with performances by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in tribal costume.  On site demonstrations of fabric weaving, basket weaving, pottery, glass art creating and more, will add to the cultural experience.  The celebration continues with a Ballyhoo Queen Contest and a Ballyhoo Dance Contest moderated by Darwin Singleton of Channel 15.  There will be live musical entertainment by well known local musical artists.  Children will enjoy the Ballymoo Trackless Train and the Ballyhoo Petting Zoo in addition to several hands-on art activities.  Waterway Village restaurants will provide some of the finest Coastal Alabama seafood.  Join us, and, you too, will Ballyhoo!!!
