4th Annual Stockton Sawmill Days Event Dates: Nov. 12, 2016  
Step back in time as Stockton celebrates its history and heritage as a sawmill town. Watch draft animals pulling logs; a professional lumberjack show with log-rolling, pole-climbing, crosscut sawing, & boom-walking; living history demonstrations - basket making, spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, syrup making, gristmill, Indian and civil war camps, cooking over open fire, piney wood oxen and sheep. Churn butter, shell corn, hunt for treasure in sawdust pile. Hand selected “folk artist” along with folk artist from the Alabama Folk life Association. Live music all day by the McRays, Paul Tilman, Kracker Dan, Macey Mac, and the Harrison McInnis Band. Buck dancing contest. Flap jacks & syrup, sawmill biscuits, tomato gravy, fried catfish & cheese grits, crack-lings, collard greens, corn bread, BBQ, funnel cakes, buttermilk pie, plus some popular food trucks from Mobile. Hosted by Stockton Heritage, Association. Proceeds to Stockton Heritage Museum. Bring lawn chair.
