Step back in time on site of Alabama?s first sawmill as Stockton celebrates its history and heritage as a sawmill town. Draft animals pulling logs; professional lumberjacks demonstrating log-rolling, pole-climbing, crosscut sawing, & boom-walking, Lumberjack sport camp where pros teach young & old art of log rolling & crosscut sawing; living history demonstrations - basket making, spinning, weaving, horseshoeing, blacksmithing, syrup making, gristmill, Indian camp, cooking in cast iron pots, piney wood oxen & sheep & others. Churn butter, shell corn, gather eggs, hunt for treasure in sawdust pile. Juried ?folk art?. Live music. Buck dancing contest. ?Hayride History Tour? of park compliments of Bald. Co.
